CarFreeMe-Dementia - Phase I Results

I presented on the phase one results of CarFreeMe-Dementia, a program supporting persons living and dementia and their family as they navigate driving retirement, the annual Gerontological Society of America meeting in November, 2022.

Participants really appreciated the hands-on, tailored approach of the CarFreeMe-Dementia program. They loved talking with the intervention coaches. They helped families go over interpersonal issues and find local, alternative driving resources.

Persons living with dementia found the programming respectful of their role in the decision making around their own retirement, enhancing their dignity.
